With the Community Chorus, Christ Church Cockfosters seeks to serve and involve the wider community. The chorus provides people with the opportunity to learn how to sing well-known choral music in an enjoyable atmosphere. Rehearsals are fun, working towards a performance of a high standard. As an example, our "You Can Sing Vivaldi" Concert was a great success, with an excellent meal for choir and friends before we gave an enthusiastic performance of Vivaldi's Gloria accompanied by a professional orchestra before a large audience.
The chorus meets for 7-week periods twice a year, giving one major concert and singing at two large carol services. Many people who take the vocal tuition class continue with the Community Chorus rehearsals on Thursday evenings after the 6 vocal tuition sessions have finished.
